Which brings to mind the story of the two cows discussing current World events...
Bessie: Are you worried by all this talk of 'Mad Cow Disease' going around at the moment?'
Buttercup: 'No, no, not at all. You see, I'm a Duck!'

I think I'll go now....

Melbourne Docklands. Milk used to come in bottles, now you get it in cartons. Instead of being curvaceous, milk now has to have hard, square edges. And now, our cows are being pressurised (and pasturised)(that is, standing around in a pasture...) into being more blocky themselves, so the milk will fit better in them cartons. here is one cow who just couldn't stand the stress, and has taken to the trees. Posted by Hello

this is something i jotted down on the back of an old envelope a few years back. recently found it again and thought it would do as 'content' on this here Blog...

This present world is bound by a precise set of physical laws;
Energy is transfered, not lost;
Actions cause reactions;
What goes up, must come down;
bullets fly in straight lines and if you get in the way of any of it, you're gonna get hurt.

This laws keep order. If they couldn't be relied on;
Wheels wouldn't roll, Birds couldn't fly,
You'd miss your morning cuppa 'cos your kettle wouldn't boil;
and there'd be chaos afoot in the world.

Another law gives man free will. I am able to do whatever I like providing I accept the consequences. If I step off a tall building, I fall.
I discover the hardness of concrete, and the frailty of the human body.
Likewise if I fire a gun I must accept the responsibility that the bullet will damage whatever it comes in contact with.
Indeed this may be my intention.

God may want to protect the innocent by bending my bullets around them, but such protection breaks both the physical laws and the laws of free will.

No Physical laws = chaos.
No free will and we become mindless robots.

Therefore, don't blame God if a demon pulls the trigger.

Our responsibility is to use our free will, not for evil, but for niceness...

There ya go. It needs a little work, bit of a Maxwell Smart ending, and the Sovereignity of God needs more of a mention, but it's mostly correct!

this is basically the motto of the Salvation Army, symbolising the Blood of Jesus and the Fire of the Holy Spirit. Something I'm playing with in photoshop... Posted by Hello

yep, it's me and murray Checking out banana graffiti in Dresden in 1999. In old east germany. bananas were a symbol of the decadent west, they were exotic fruit that just weren't available in the worker's paradise. Pity because Murray tells me that not only are they yummy, but full of Potassiumy goodness! Posted by Hello

It's been a long time. Tooo long. Eons. Ages. Civilisations have risen and fallen. Check it out, if you will. You can find it at http://www.freewebs.com/heartheart look especially at the Angels in the Architecture bit. Thats at http://www.freewebs.com/heartheart/aita.html Cheers

now you understand why our athletes have trouble remembering the words....
Incidentally, the original words can be sung to the tunes of 'Gilligan's Island' and Jimmy Barnes' 'Working Class Man', both of which are far superior peices of music!
At the recent Commonwealth games, Australia won vaste hordes of gold medals, mainly because we are better at games than Nauru, Cyprus, Lesotho and Belize und so weiter... As a result, our national anthem was heard around 82 times. I thought, as a service to my readers, I would present you with the words... In German!:
Australier, den alle lassen daß uns uns freuen, Für wir ist jung und frei;
Wir Haben goldene Erde und Reichtum für Mühe, Unser Heim girt durch See ist;
Unser Land ist reichlich vorhanden in Geschenken Natur der Schönheit reich und selten;
In Seite Geschichte, läßt jede Stufe Fortschritt Australien Messe!
In freudigen Spannungen lassen Sie dann,
daß uns singen, "Fortschritt Australien Messe!"

Translated back into English that would be:

Australier, that everyone lets that us please us, for we is young and free;
we have golden earth and wealth for effort, our home fermented through lake is;
our country is amplly available in gifts nature of the beauty rich and rare;
in page story, lets each step progress Australia fair!
In joyful tensions, you let then that sing us,
"progress Australia fair!"

You gotta love these internet translation services!
eek! has it been so long since I blogged? Disgraceful! And it's not because I have nothing to say! It's just that mere blogging hasn't been my highest priority lately! I could've talked about Australia losing to New Zealand in the soccer, and STILL wanting to put in a bid for the 2014 or 2018 World cup... Or Australia beating NZ all blacks with last kick in the Rugby to win the Bledisloe cup, or Aust beating NZ with a golden goal after extra time in the Commonwealth games netball final... did we beat them at the Hockey final too? I think.. Anyway, not mentioning any sport, even if it means famous victories over New Zealand, or ignominous defeats... lot's of other things have happened in the world too y'know!

It's three years today since I met Daniela... i wonder how different my life would've been if that hadn't have happened.. How much of my German obsession is because of her?
